Lily took her second road trip last week. We went to Connecticut to visit Varun's parents for their 30th wedding anniversary. We drove to Maryland the first night and stayed with Christina's parents before heading to Connecicut the next day. It was a busy trip for us and Lily was exhausted after two days of driving and staying up late. On our first day in Connecticut Christina and Liliana drove to Naugatuck to have lunch with Alicia and Gabriella. It was so nice to catch up with Alicia and have our baby girls meet for the first time. Lily looked so little next to Gabriella who just turned 7 months old. On Saturday we took Lily, Levi, and Leah to the local park. Christina wore Lily in the Moby wrap and took her on a walk around the park and on a little ride on the swing. Later that night was the big anniversary party. Liliana lasted about an hour into the party before she became a little overwhelmed. She ended up falling asleep at 7:30 and was able to sleep through all of the party noise! On Sunday we relaxed with Varun's family at home. Lily spent some time with Varun's parents and Vinay before heading back on Monday.
Overall, Lily did well on the trip. She doesn't get too upset in the carseat anymore and now seems more comfortable on car trips. All of the driving will just help to prepare her for the week long drive to Colorado coming up this summer!
