Liliana Shivani Purohit joined our family on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010. She was 8 pounds 1 ounce and 20.5 inches long.
It all began late Tuesday night when Christina woke up with light contractions. She could not get back to sleep, so she went downstairs to watch TV. She suddenly had a craving for Jello, so Varun went in the kitchen at 1:00am to make Peach Jello. As Varun was mixing the Jello and water, Christina's water broke. After packing Finnegan up and dropping him off at the neighbor's house, we headed to the hospital.
We were admitted to the Womack Army Medical Center at 2:00am. After 7 hours of labor contractions, things were not progressing as fast as they should. Christina was given Pitocin to speed up the process. At 9:30am, she was finally able to get an epidural. A few hours later, it was time for Liliana to make her arrival. After just a few pushes, Liliana was born at 2:00pm.
